HOW TO STOP A TELCO TOWER

Disclaimer :
This is how We (Wilson Creek Community) stopped the Telstra Tower Lot1 DP202997 Wilsons Creek Rd, Wilsons Creek 2482. NSW.
Below is just a guideline to help you through the process.

GET EDUCATED

A.     ESSENTIAL INFORMATION IN THESE LINKS

B.     TELCO COMMUNITY MEETING

It is very likely that any Telco’s involved in EMR installations (towers or small cells)
will offer a community information meeting.

The format will potentially be as outlined in the Delphi Technique.
We suggest you read this document

C.     HIGHLY RECOMMENDED VIEWING

QUESTION THE DA      (Development Application)

You will find this at your local council website…. just go to the search bar and enter – DA
or call your local council

GET A COPY OF THE DA
Things to look for:

  1. Ascertain closure date of DA submissions

  2. If necessary request an extension of closure date (refer to letter)

  3. Any discrepancies in the Telcos DA (refer to letter)

  4. Contradictions regarding any local environmental knowledge and data

Our reply from the Telcos looked like this : (refer to letter)

EDUCATE RELEVANT COUNCIL STAFF AND COUNCILLORS

What ECSFR did :
1. Collated independent scientific peer reviewed information

2. Sent it to the council staff in the planning department, General Manager, and all councillors

3. Organised a meeting with the council staff member in charge of the DA

4. Presented the staff member with a synopsis of our health concerns and other concerns related to the DA   (Attachments coming)

( Note : We highly recommend that you treat all council staff with respect. They have a job to do, and with careful consideration we can offer them a body of information that will support them to confidently recommend refusal of the DA)

Submissions on the DA to Council

Rally community support
Petition (Print and sign by community and beyond)
(refer petition letter 1)

Hand written letters and personal emails carry more weight in the overall outcome
Offer the community a template with multiple relevant points that they could add to their letter
This is what we used (refer to letter)

Make copies of all documents before you submit anything to council
Ensure all submissions have been delivered to council prior to the DA closure date

SEEK EXPERT MEDICAL ADVICE TO OBTAIN A DOCTORS LETTER DECLARING ‘FEAR OF HARM’

for those who do fear harm from EMR or already suffering from EHS (Electro-magnetic Hyper Sensitivity)
(REFER TO EG : DOCTORS LETTER)

*Very important – this is NOT a psychological illness so you do not require a psychological or psychiatric assessment. Do not allow anyone to tell you you need to do this. EHS is a biological illness and there are clear biomarkers that can be determined with appropriate laboratory testing*

If your doctors says that the ‘disease does not exist’ just refer to the ICD-10 diagnosis – T66 radiation sickness (non-ionising and ionising) of W90 radiofrequency type.

So therefore, the doctor you seek needs to have understanding or expertise in this field

SUBMIT DOCTORS LETTER TO COUNCIL (Prior to the DA closure date)

and include a cover letter and these following documents (refer cover letter)

FOLLOW THE DA PROCESS

  • On your councils Website
or call your council direct ….. staff are helpful and are required to assist you

  • Look out for Council staff recommendations on your DA

  • This what ours looked like (refer to letter)

  • find out date of council meeting when your DA will be heard

Book to speak against the DA Proposal
(In our council ……. 5 mins in total for community speakers and we had to book speaking time no later than 24hrs prior to the meeting. Check your council requirements for this)

WHEN SPEAKING AGAINST THE DA, AT THE COUNCIL MEETING

Legal brief reminding council
Should they approve the DA, they would be PERSONALLY LIABLE and be a party to ASSAULT

LET US KNOW YOUR OUTCOME
