Summary:
The DA proposes Mobile Phone Telecommunications Facility including
35 Metre High Monopole,
Six (6) Antennae and Ancillary Equipment.
The proposal raised a significant level of objection from the community in terms of siting, environmental impacts, health and amenity impacts, electro magnetic radiation, visual impacts, proximity to power lines and surrounding residential properties.
It is considered that the development does not meet Councils planning controls or standards, having regards to the height provisions within Byron LEP 1988, and the objectives of the 7(c) Water Catchment Zone.
Further having regards to the number of objections it is considered the proposed telecommunications tower is not in the public interest.
**** The application is recommended for refusal****

ECSFR has secured both of the available 21/2 minute time slots to give some last thoughts on the proposed DA and then the Councillors vote.
The meeting is on this Thursday the 20th, 2018.
Turning up speaks volumes, these people get re-elected by you….or not!
…and in the unlikely event the Councillors approve the tower DA then our barrister requires all correspondence any of us has had with council, state or federal government, Service Stream or Telstra in order to proceed with legal action.

Hello Everyone!
First and foremost we’ve got a new name Environment & Communities Safe from Radiation or ECSFR. We had to form an incorporated association in order to legally collect contributions to help us pay for the information night we held on August 4th.
The speakers came from interstate and whilst they very kindly donated their time there were still airfares, accommodation, transfers, hall hire, insurance, etc, etc to pay.

Stopping the tower in Wilsons Creek is still our number 1 priority
but we also recognise that until the Australian Standards are changed to reflect current science and medical understanding of the effects of radiation on people and wildlife, no community in Australia will be safe, hence choosing Environment & Communities Safe from Radiation as our new name.The event on the 4th of August was very informative and some very sobering health and scientific data was revealed by Victor Leach, Scientist and Dr Raymond Cooper followed by potential legal remedies that could be taken by ordinary everyday people like ourselves! The Facebook live stream on the night reached people from all over the planet and since then we’ve been contacted by many similar action groups from all over the planet.
